PPO USA Live to Give team makes a difference

ppo usa employees making a difference in their community

The PPO USA Live to Give team takes the corporate commitment to care for our community in and outside of our work environment to heart. The Live to Give Team consists of PPO USA employees that participate in volunteer events located in the Kansas City area throughout the year. Our employees made a positive impact this spring by volunteering with Operation Breakthrough and the Kansas City Veterans Administration (VA) Medical Center.

Operation Breakthrough offers many medical resources and everyday necessities to underprivileged families. The medical resources include a dental clinic, a medical clinic, physical therapy and occupational therapy. The PPO USA employees who visited Operation Breakthrough had the opportunity to spend one-on-one time with the children to help them learn and participate in fun activities.

The Kansas City VA Medical Center honors Kansas City’s veterans by providing them quality and affordable health care services. Employees from the PPO USA Live to Give team dedicated their time to greet the patients and served complimentary coffee as the patients waited for their appointments.

Giving back to the Kansas City area is important to the PPO USA Live to Give team. By dedicating time and effort, the employees were able to positively impact the lives of those who need it the most.

Many of them can be found in the company's Total Rewards philosophy, which CEO Julie Browne says "is fundamental in attracting and retaining an advantage in a highly competitive human-capital marketplace."
